Signals & metrics from the agent
VectraOps collects core performance signals that operations teams use every day. These are lightweight
and meant to be comparable across hosts, so you can quickly spot outliers without having to build a
bespoke dashboard per environment.
- CPU, memory, disk and network metrics.
- Collected by the agent with tenant-scoped visibility.
Health snapshots
Raw metrics tell you “what happened”, but snapshots help you decide “what should we do next”.
Health snapshots combine signals into a readable state: whether a host looks healthy, whether updates
appear missing, and whether a reboot is likely required after maintenance.
Example snapshot outcomes
- Host is healthy and within thresholds.
- Host is under pressure (CPU/memory/disk) and needs attention.
- Updates pending / reboot needed signals after patching.
Trend-friendly history
Telemetry becomes more valuable when you can compare “now” with “last week”. By keeping the data
trend-friendly, you can support alerting rules, reporting and capacity planning without turning the
product into a full-blown monitoring stack.
- Supports tracking changes over time (peaks, degradations, recurring patterns).
- Useful foundation for alerts and exports.
Why it matters
Health telemetry helps you focus quickly: which hosts are overloaded, which disks are trending full,
and which systems are likely to cause incidents if left untouched. The result is less time hunting
and more time fixing the right thing first.
- Prioritize the systems that need attention first.
- Reduce time spent finding the “real” problem host.
- Build reliable signals for alerting and reporting.
